Pest such as Aphids, Adelgid, Borers, Beetles, Caterpillars, Galls, Leafminers, Spider-Mites, Weevils, etc,. Can be Prevented and/or Controlled by Systemic Injections of a Chemical Called "Merit."The Systemic Injection is so effective because the chemical is picked up from the roots of the tree and distributed throughout the entire structure of the tree.

Signs that you may have an infestation may include:

  • Mushroom-type fungi growing at the base of the tree
  • Although difficult to see, the adult beetles leave a "D"-shaped exit hole in the bark, roughly 1/8 inch in diameter, when they emerge in June.
  • The canopy of the infested trees begins to thin above infested portions of the trunk and major branches
  • Heavily infested trees exhibit canopy die-back usually starting at the top of the tree.
  • Popcorn-like pitch tubes
  • Leaking sap down the bark
  • Legions and/or holes develop on the leaves.
  • A Sappy / Sticky drip may be created.
  • Shoots appear at base of tree.
  • Numerous holes in the bark.
  • Boring Dust (Similiar to Sawdust) is present
  • Bugs around swarm the tree. (For example: Beetles)
